What Are The Quality Identification Methods Of Biomass Pellets?

Biomass pellet is an environmental friendly fuel produced by compression of biomass pellet machine. Durability is an important performance index for evaluating the quality of biomass briquette. It generally includes several indexes, such as crushing resistance, deformation resistance, permeability resistance and moisture absorption resistance.

1.Durability

The durability of biomass pellet affects its packaging, transportation and storage performance.At present, there is no unified standard for the test method and evaluation index of the anti-seepage performance of biomass briquette fuel.Sample tests can be used to determine whether the durability of biomass molded fuel meets the requirements of packaging, transportation and storage performance.

With reference to the researchers usually adopt the trial method, the water sample at 27 of T25mm, continuous observation of molding fuel form until complete denudation decomposition molding fuel, with intact form in the water of time as evaluation of technical indicators, the water permeability resistance of each sample record 5 times, take the average.

2.The crushing resistance

The crushing resistance mainly reflects the ability of biomass briquette to withstand a certain drop and roll collision in the process of transportation, and also reflects the transportation requirements of biomass briquette under actual conditions

During the transportation or movement of biomass briquette fuel, the weight of the briquette fuel will be lost due to the drop. The percentage of the remaining mass (that is, the difference between the total mass and the loss divided by the total mass) reflects the crushing resistance of the product.

The crushing resistance of briquette fuel was tested according to the crushing strength test method of coal. The fuel rods of 60-100m m length were dropped freely from 2m height to the hard floor. Then the fuel rods larger than 25m m in the falling fuel rods were dropped again, three times, and the fuel rods larger than 25m m in the crushed fuel rods accounted for the raw fuel rods. Mass percentage indicates the breaking strength of fuel rods.

3.The deformation resistance

The deformation resistance mainly reflects the ability of biomass forming fuel to resist rupture under external pressure, and determines the use and stacking requirements of biomass forming fuel.

When the biomass pellets is piled up, it should bear certain pressure. The bearing capacity of the biomass pellets fuel reflects the anti-deformation capacity of the biomass pellets fuel. The maximum pressure of the biomass briquette fuel sample deformed and cracked under continuous loading. Record each sample 5 times and take the maximum value.

4.The Impermeability and moisture resistance

Impermeability and moisture resistance respectively reflect the water seepage capacity and the water absorption capacity of biomass briquette fuel, and the percentage of weight gain reflects the moisture absorption capacity. The storage performance of biomass pellets is determined.

The test method is to put the pellets in a closed environment with 100% relative humidity and observe its quality change. In the preliminary test, it has good deformation resistance and moisture absorption resistance for the molding fuel with good relaxation density. When the molding fuel is piled up about 2.5 meters, the deformation of the bottom molding fuel does not occur, and the test on the mechanical properties testing machine shows that the deformation resistance of the bottom molding fuel is very strong. For hygroscopicity, the preliminary test method is to put the molded fuel in a sealed environment with a relative humidity of 100% and observe and measure it once a day.
