– 500 Guangdong Manufactures will make their debut in Malaysia

The Malaysia-China Trade Expo (“MCTE 2019”), which is sponsored by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the Economic and Trade Office of Guangdong in Southeast Asia (Kuala Lumpur) and Foshan Bureau of Commerce, organized by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and the Guangzhou Convention & Exhibition Service Center Co., Ltd, will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 7th November, 2019. Nearly 500 Malaysian and Chinese guests, including Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof, Minister of Entrepreneur Development; H.E. Mr. Bai Tian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia; Lin Ji, Deputy Secretary-General, People's Government of Guangdong Province; Ma Hua, Deputy Director-General, Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province; Li Jing, Director of the Economic and Trade Office of Guangdong in Southeast Asia (Kuala Lumpur); Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, President of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia; Dato' Abdul Majid, Former Malaysian Ambassador to China, President of Malaysia-China Friendship Association and Chairman of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), etc. will be attending the opening ceremony.
The expo area of MCTE 2019 reaches 150,000 square foot and there are more than 530 booths. It has two theme sectors, i.e. Guangdong Advanced Manufacture Pavilion and ASEAN Pavilion, and three special exhibitions, including Malaysia-China Smart Home & Building Materials Fair, Malaysia-China Vogue Industry Fair, and Malaysia-China International Tea Culture & Gourmet Expo 2019. 90% of the exhibitors are China enterprises, mainly from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan and Zhuhai in the Guangdong Province, and some are from those economically-developed coastal provinces like Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shandong. Another 10% of the exhibitors are ASEAN enterprises in the manufacturing and commerce sectors, including the ACCCIM Pavilion (Malaysia) and ASEAN Pavilion, etc.
With the theme “From Traditional to Intelligent”, MCTE 2019 highlights new-science and high-tech elements. With the following characteristics, AI, VR/AR, 5G application, laser technology, and smart home appliances are all put on the stage:
1. A large number of well-known companies is coming

2. Closely meets Malaysia economic development, highlighting tech and intelligence
It is said that “China is the powerhouse of the global economy and Guangdong is the powerhouse of China Economy.” The economy aggregates of Guangdong ranked first among other administrative regions of China for 30 consecutive years, surpassing Hong Kong, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) and Singapore. In 2018, the GDP of Guangdong province has reached 1.47 trillion USD, accounting for 1/10 of that of China. Its total foreign trade value has exceeded 1 trillion USD, one-quarter of the country’s total. Particularly, it is the home of the greatest number of China’s high-tech enterprises and plays a leading role in China’s intelligent industry innovation, opening-up, and international cooperation. Given that YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia has many times praised China's progress in science, technology, and digital economy during his previous visits to China, 500 advanced manufacturers coming from Guangdong and other provinces of China bring their latest technologies and smart hardware, hoping that with the involvement of Guangdong’s advanced technologies, Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 policy will be strongly supported, and internet of things, AI industry, and smart eco-city model will also be promoted. In particularly, through a combination with the world-class industrial base in the Pearl River Delta, the MCTE could achieve Malaysia-China production capacity cooperation.
3. A fashionable, diversified and professional exhibition
MCTE 2019 is a combination of traditional, fashionable, intelligent, cutting-edge and other elements. In order to achieve effective B2B matching, the exhibiting pattern maintained with two theme sectors plus three special exhibitions. The Malaysia-China Smart Home & Building Materials Fair represents the flagship industries of Guangdong, including smart home and appliances, environmental-friendly building materials, new technologies, energy-saving LED lighting, hardware & machinery, etc..
