How To Maintain A Crucible

Maintenance of graphite crucible:

1. Graphite crucibles must be kept away from moisture and must be stored in a dry place or on a wooden rack.

2. When you hold it, you must be careful, it is strictly forbidden to shake.

3. Heat baking before use in drying equipment or furnace, the temperature rises to 500℃.

4. The crucible should be placed below the plane of the furnace mouth to prevent the furnace cover from wearing the upper mouth of the crucible.

5. When adding materials, according to the dissolution of the crucible, do not add too much to avoid the crucible being too tight.

6. The furnace and crucible should be clamped in the middle according to the shape of the crucible to prevent partial stress damage to the crucible.

7. When removing the dissolved slag and sticky coke on the inner wall of the crucible, the crucible should be tapped gently to prevent damage to the crucible.

8. The crucible should be kept at an appropriate distance from the furnace wall, and the crucible should be placed in the middle of the furnace.

9. Use an appropriate amount of combustion aid, additives will reduce the service life of the crucible.

10. During use, the crucible is rotated once a week to extend the service life of the crucible.

11. Prevent strong corrosive flames from directly spraying the sides and bottom of the crucible.
