Greenvinci Steam Generator -How To Maintain A Steam Generator

Oct 29, 2025

I. Routine Maintenance (Per Shift or Daily)

This is the most basic and crucial maintenance, performed by the operator.

Pre-operation Inspection:

Fuel Tank: Check the biomass pellet/shredded material level to ensure sufficient fuel and absence of large foreign objects or excessive moisture.

Feeding System: Observe the screw feeder or belt feeder for smooth operation, without jamming or abnormal noise.

Water Quality Inspection: Check the water softening equipment for proper functioning, check the water level in the softened water tank, and test the feed water hardness (should be ≤0.03mmol/L) and pH value.

Pressure Gauge and Water Level Gauge: Check that the pressure gauge pointer is at zero, the water level gauge is clear, and the water level is within the normal range.

Safety Valve: Conduct a manual venting test to ensure it is not jammed.

In-operation Monitoring:

Combustion Status: Observe the flame color through the observation hole (should be bright yellow or orange-yellow) to ensure stable and complete combustion, without sparks or black smoke.

Parameter Monitoring: Closely monitor parameters such as steam pressure, temperature, water level, and flue gas temperature to ensure they remain within the set range.

Abnormal Sounds: Listen carefully for any sounds during equipment operation, such as deflagration, abnormal fan noises, or unusual water pump noises.

Ash Removal: Operate the grate cleaning mechanism (if applicable) as needed based on combustion conditions, or record the ash accumulation to prepare for shutdown cleaning.

Post-Shutdown Operations:

Cleaning: Clean fuel residue and dust around the equipment and operating platform to maintain cleanliness.

Shift Handover Record: Record the detailed operating status of this shift, any abnormalities that occurred, and maintenance procedures to ensure the next shift is aware of the equipment status.
