Crucible Introduction
Graphite crucible has good thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance, and is mainly used for melting aluminum, aluminum alloy, zinc alloy, copper (brass or copper).
Applicability: Suitable for biomass furnace, oil furnace, gas furnace,dumping furnace, electric furnace or electromagnetic induction furnace.
The applicable metal melting point is 400--1700℃, and different ranges are optional.
Crucible capacity calculation: full water volume * metal density = crucible capacity
Note: The actual size of the crucible after production usually has an error of 1--3cm from the size required by the customer.
(this is an allowable range).
Regular crucible specification
The correct way to use the crucible
1. The new crucible needs to be preheated first, and the furnace temperature should be set:
(1) 100℃ for 2 hours;
(2) 200℃ for 2 hours;
(3) 300℃ for 1 hour;
(4) 300℃ to 650℃ for 2 hours;
(5) 650℃ to 850℃ for 1 hour;
(6) After keeping warm for one hour, add aluminum ingots after the temperature drops to the working temperature.
2. When the furnace is stopped, the aluminum liquid needs to be cleaned up. When it is heated again, it needs to be preheated in the above way to avoid the crucible from bursting.
3. How to put aluminum: The aluminum ingots should be placed on the edge of the crucible for baking first, and a maximum of 2 aluminum ingots should be placed at a time. Do not put too much or too full to avoid breaking the crucible. It is best to put debris and small metals at the beginning, and then put ingots later. They need to be put into the crucible slowly.
4. During use, please note that the aluminum slag in the crucible should be cleaned in time. During the process of melting metal (heating), use a shovel to clean the floating slag and bottom slag to avoid excessive slag hanging on the crucible wall.
5. Storage of the crucible:
(1) Do not let it get wet by rain and keep it moisture-proof.
(2) Do not add a large amount of slag remover or refining agent to the crucible, as it will corrode the crucible.
Common after-sales problems
1. Excessive slag leads to oxidation and cracking
2.Too much aluminum ingots were put in, which broke the crucible. The impact of the aluminum ingots caused the crucible to crack.
3. Improper heating causes the crucible to crack.
