Australia's LNG exports grew by 21.2% in fiscal year 2018/2019, with a total export volume of about 75.1 million tons and a total export value of A$5.5 billion, according to the latest data released recently by Australian Mineral Consulting Company Energy Quest. Australia will replace Qatar as the world's largest natural gas exporter this year.

At present, LNG has become Australia's third largest export commodity after iron ore and coal. It is predicted that the total export volume of liquefied natural gas from Australia will reach 80 million tons next year, with a total value of A$54 billion. In recent years, Australia's new natural gas production mainly comes from new projects in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, and Queensland's exports have increased slightly. The capacity of three LNG plants on Curtis Island, Adelaide, increased 89%. Shell, Santos and Origin Energy, the main LNG exporters in Queensland in the east, increased production. New LNG projects will be launched in Darwin in the north this year, while new offshore projects of Chevron and Shell will encounter. Construction delays.
